INSOLUBILITY

Insoluble in water, lower alcohol’s, esters, Chlorinated solvents, mineral spirits, mineral oils and waxes. Also insoluble in benzol, toluol and xylene.

APPLICATION

Cosmetics: for powders, cold creams. Ointments, and facial creams. Improves adhesion, antiseptic action , and water-repellency. Cosmetic grade for highest quality product. Paints, ink, varnishes and lacquers 2-3% of technical grade on the non-volatile grade on the non-volatile content as flatting agent.

Rubber: Technical grade as an activator for the vulcanization of rubber compounds, and as a dusting agent and mold lubricant. U.S.P. as an anticoagulation agent in the manufacture of butyl rubber.

PVC Products: As film, sheet, garden hose, leather, and injection, molding, vacuum forming.

Miscellaneous: waterproofing, fungus-proofing, grinding aid for mill ground products.
